My mother was a high school English teacher back in the day, and I think her love for language rubbed off on me. I often nitpick spelling, grammar and structure, but such preciseness is beneficial for professional writing.
I learned first-hand about journalistic writing as a staff reporter for my university's newspaper. My articles can be found more easily via a Google search rather than the Purdue Exponent's archive interface.
My current writing tends to be for business collateral and advertisement copy. Unfortunately, most of it is for an internal audience, so I cannot post it here. One can, however, get a taste of my casual writing style on Yelp.com.
